Navy selects Storsoft to provide AWS Training

September 23, 2020 — The Department of the Navy’s (DON) Program Executive Office
Enterprise Information Services (PEO EIS) Navy Commercial Cloud Services (NCCS)
Program Management Office (PMW) awarded StorSoft Technology Corporation a
contract to facilitate cloud-based training to empower the DON to manage, acquire,
deploy and secure cloud technologies throughout the naval community at-large,
including Navy Cloud Brokers (NCBs), Mission Owners and other Navy activities within
core fleet concentration sites.

The project is expected to promote a cultural shift within the Navy to become a ‘Cloud
First’ organization allowing NCBs and Mission Owners to innovate faster and deliver
warfighting capabilities to our Nation’s Sailors and Marines. The training program is
designed to propel the Navy’s cloud transformation journey by comprehensively
empowering the DON to manage, acquire, deploy, and secure cloud technologies.

StorSoft Technology Corporation will provide a series of 5-day instructor-led classes
teaching the fundamentals of building an IT infrastructure on an Amazon Web Services
(AWS) platform. Upon completion, students will be certified to design and create robust
architectures and employ adaptive solutions. Participants will also learn to optimize the
AWS Cloud by fully understanding security features of vital services, including
computing, storage, networking, and database services, and how they fit into cloud-
based solutions. The year-long, hands-on training will be conducted at eleven facilities
across the United States for more than 700 U.S. Navy and Marines.
